Ahead of her time

During her training at the legendary Bauhaus in 1923, Alma Siedhoff-Buscher designed this Bauhaus building game as part of the children’s room in the model house “Am Horn” in Weimar. It was produced in different versions afterwards in the Bauhaus workshops. Naef has been producing this historic item as a replica since 1977.

Geboren 1899, Studium am Bauhaus in Weimar und Dessau. Entwürfe und Produktion von Kindermöbeln und Kinderspielzeug. Für das «Musterhaus am Horn» zur Bauhaus- Ausstellung 1923 realisierte Alma Siedhoff-Buscher zusammen mit Erich Brendel das Kinderzimmer. 1926 Heirat mit Schauspieler und Tänzer Werner Siedhoff. Gestorben 1945 in Frankfurt am Main (D). Design: Bauhaus Bauspiel
